Despite some of the harshest conditions imaginable, FLIR Systems has developed a catalogue of products that will outperform through corrosion, freezing fog and ice. Since 1993, the Royal Danish Navy has looked to FLIR for proven, reliable systems to aid in counter-piracy operations as well as surveillance, reconnaissance and search-and-rescue. The U.S. Navy's Shipboard Protection System (SPS) program and Special Operations Craft-Riverine rely on FLIR sensors to protect vessels and crewmen from asymmetrical threats. Additionally, the U.S. Coast Guard has been trusting in FLIR Systems since 1984, with orders exceeding 250 systems including multi-sensors for various maritime platforms like the 270' Medium Endurance Cutter and the National Security Cutter.
