The Recon, and hand-held, long range thermal sensor, can track vehicles at distances greater than 9 km. in total darkness, through smoke, dust, and most obscurants. It provides mission flexibility for use on a pan/tilt for force protection with full control from a laptop. Recon is highly portable and operates for over four hours on batteries.
